Last updated January 15, 2025

Introduction

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a comprehensive data protection law that came into effect on May 25, 2018, in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).

Outvoice is committed to protecting your privacy. This page explains how we comply with GDPR requirements, though as a fully on-device application, Outvoice does not collect, process, or store any personal data.

No Data Collection

Outvoice is designed with privacy as a core principle. Unlike most applications, Outvoice:

- Does not collect any personal data

- Does not require user accounts or registration

- Does not transmit any data over the internet

- Does not use analytics or tracking

- Processes all audio files entirely on your device

Because we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to store, process, or share. Your audio files and transcriptions remain exclusively on your Mac.

Your Rights Under GDPR

Under GDPR, you have several important rights regarding your personal data. Since Outvoice does not collect any personal data, these rights are automatically fulfilled:

Right of Access

You have the right to access any personal data we hold about you. Since Outvoice does not collect any personal data, there is no data to access.

Right to Erasure

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Since Outvoice does not collect any personal data, this right is automatically satisfied.

Right to Data Portability

All your audio files and transcriptions are stored locally on your Mac. You have full control over these files and can move, copy, or delete them at any time using standard file management.

Local Data Processing

All data processing in Outvoice happens locally on your Mac:

- Audio conversion uses native macOS audio frameworks

- Transcription runs on-device using WhisperKit and Apple Silicon

- No audio data is sent to any external servers

- No internet connection is required for core functionality

Your audio files never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and GDPR compliance by design.

Third-Party Services

Outvoice does not use any third-party services that would process your personal data. The application operates entirely offline without requiring:

- Cloud storage services

- Analytics platforms

- Advertising networks

- External AI APIs

All functionality is provided locally on your Mac.
